Fees and Charges Policy

Fees and Charges Policy – Journal of Advanced Homoeopathic Studies (JAHS)

The Journal of Advanced Homoeopathic Studies (JAHS) is committed to maintaining transparency regarding all publication-related costs. Authors, reviewers, and readers are informed clearly about any applicable fees.

1. Article Processing Charges (APCs)

  • JAHS is an open access journal, and all articles are freely available online immediately upon publication.

  • To cover the costs of editorial handling, peer review, production, web hosting, indexing, archiving, and long-term preservation, an Article Processing Charge (APC) may be applicable after acceptance.

  • The APC (if applicable) will be clearly stated on the journal’s website and communicated to the authors upon acceptance of the manuscript.

  • No fees are charged at the time of submission. Fees, if any, are payable only after acceptance and prior to publication.

2. Waiver and Discount Policy

  • JAHS is committed to supporting authors from low- and middle-income countries, early-career researchers, and those without funding support.

  • Authors may apply for a partial or full waiver of APCs at the time of submission.

  • Waivers/discounts are granted at the discretion of the Editor-in-Chief and Publisher, based on merit and need, without affecting editorial or peer review decisions.

3. Other Charges

  • Submission Charges: JAHS does not charge any fee for submission.

  • Page Charges: JAHS does not impose page charges.

  • Color Figures/Images: No additional charges apply for color illustrations, graphs, or figures.

  • Reprints: Since JAHS is an online-only open access journal, no mandatory reprint charges exist. Authors may request printed copies at actual cost (optional).

4. Funding and Sponsorship Transparency

  • If the APCs are covered by funding agencies, universities, or sponsors, this must be declared by the authors during submission.

  • JAHS will comply with the open access mandates of funding agencies regarding cost transparency.

5. Policy on Fee Waiver Abuse

  • Any attempt to exploit the waiver policy by providing false or misleading information will result in automatic rejection of the manuscript and may lead to sanctions against the authors.

6. Independence of Editorial Decisions

  • The ability to pay APCs does not influence editorial decisions. All submissions undergo the same rigorous peer review process.

  • Waiver requests are considered independently of the review and acceptance process.

7. Compliance with International Standards

This policy is consistent with:

  • DOAJ Principles of Transparency

  • COPE Code of Conduct

  • ICMJE Recommendations

  • Scopus and PubMed requirements for open access journals
