  • Suitable manuscripts proceed to double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers.

  • The final decision rests with the Editor-in-Chief, based on reviewer reports and editorial assessment.

6. Ethical Compliance

  • Research involving human participants must include Institutional Ethics Committee (IEC) approval and patient consent (where required).

  • Clinical trial submissions must be registered in a recognized clinical trial registry.

  • Authors must follow COPE, ICMJE, and WAME ethical guidelines.

7. Duplicate/Redundant Submission

  • Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously is considered unethical and will result in rejection.

  • Authors must notify JAHS of any related manuscripts under review elsewhere.

8. Post-Submission Communication

  • Authors will receive acknowledgment upon successful submission.

  • The editorial office may request revisions based on peer review.

  • The corresponding author is responsible for all communication with the journal.

9. Final Acceptance and Publication

  • Once accepted, manuscripts enter the copyediting and typesetting process.

  • Proofs will be sent to authors for final corrections.

  • Articles will be published open access under the Creative Commons license as per JAHS Copyright and Licensing Policy.

10. Withdrawal Policy

  • Authors may withdraw a manuscript only before it enters peer review.

  • Once peer review begins, withdrawal requires a written explanation and editorial approval.

  • Unethical withdrawal (e.g., submitting elsewhere without notifying JAHS) may lead to a submission ban.

11. Alignment with International Standards

This policy is consistent with:

  • COPE Code of Conduct

  • ICMJE Recommendations

  • WAME Best Practice Guidelines

  • DOAJ Transparency Standards

  • Scopus and PubMed indexing requirements
