Submission Checklist

JAHS Author Submission Checklist

Authors must complete this checklist before submitting to the Journal of Advanced Homoeopathic Studies (JAHS). Submissions that are incomplete or incorrectly formatted will be returned without review.

1. Manuscript Formatting

  • File format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) only.

  • Paper size: A4 (21 × 29.7 cm).

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12-point.

  • Line spacing: Double-spaced (2.0) throughout (including abstract, references, tables, and legends).

  • Margins: 2.5 cm (1 inch) on all sides.

  • Alignment: Left-aligned (not justified).

  • Continuous page numbers (bottom right).

  • Continuous line numbers (for peer review).

  • Word count within limits (Original Research ≤ 4000, Review ≤ 4500, Case Report ≤ 2500, Short Communication ≤ 2000, Letter ≤ 1000).

2. Title Page

  • Full manuscript title (≤20 words, concise and informative).

  • Short running title (≤50 characters).

  • Author names, institutional affiliations, and ORCID IDs.

  • Corresponding author details (name, postal address, email, phone).

  • Funding, acknowledgements, and conflict of interest statement included.

3. Abstract & Keywords

  • Structured abstract (250–300 words).

  • Follows structure appropriate for article type (Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion, etc.).

  • 3–6 keywords, preferably MeSH terms.

4. Tables, Figures, and Illustrations

  • Tables numbered consecutively (Table 1, Table 2, etc.), with title above and explanatory notes below.

  • Figures/images in high resolution (≥300 dpi).

  • Acceptable formats: JPEG, PNG, TIFF.

  • Figure legends provided below each figure.

  • Clinical photographs anonymized OR Patient Consent Form attached.

5. References

  • References formatted in Vancouver style.

  • Cited in order of appearance in the text using square brackets [ ].

  • DOIs included for all available references.

  • All references verified and up-to-date.

6. EQUATOR Network Compliance

  • Appropriate reporting guideline followed:

    • RCTs – CONSORT

    • Systematic Reviews/Meta-analyses – PRISMA

    • Observational studies – STROBE

    • Case Reports – CARE

    • Diagnostic accuracy – STARD

    • Non-randomized trials – TREND

    • Qualitative research – COREQ

    • Clinical trial protocols – SPIRIT

    • Animal studies – ARRIVE

    • Quality improvement – SQUIRE

    • Economic evaluations – CHEERS

  • Completed EQUATOR checklist uploaded as supplementary file.

7. Ethical Compliance

  • Ethics approval obtained (institutional ethics committee approval number stated in Methods).

  • Informed consent obtained (for clinical studies and case reports).

  • Patient Consent Form attached (if applicable).

  • Trial registration number included (for clinical trials).

8. Plagiarism & Authorship

  • Plagiarism certificate uploaded (Turnitin/iThenticate/URKUND or equivalent).

  • Similarity index ≤15% (excluding references, methods, quotations).

  • Authorship complies with ICMJE criteria (all four conditions met).

  • All authors approve final submission.

9. Mandatory Statements

  • Conflict of Interest Statement included.

  • Funding Statement included.

  • Data Availability Statement provided (if applicable).

  • Acknowledgements (if applicable).

10. Additional Required Documents

  • Cover Letter addressed to Editor-in-Chief.

  • EQUATOR Checklist (appropriate for study type).

  • Plagiarism Certificate.

  • Copyright Transfer & Licensing Form (signed by all authors).

  • Patient Consent Form (if applicable).

  • Ethics Approval Letter (if requested by editorial office).

Final Confirmation Before Submission

  • Manuscript and supplementary documents comply with JAHS Author Guidelines.

  • All required files uploaded in the online submission system.
