Manuscript Types
Manuscript Types – Journal of Advanced Homoeopathic Studies (JAHS)
JAHS accepts a wide range of manuscript types to encourage diversity of research, clinical experience, and academic discussion. All manuscripts must conform to the journal’s ethical guidelines, peer review policy, and formatting requirements.
1. Original Research Articles

Reports of novel clinical, experimental, or interdisciplinary research in homoeopathy or related sciences.

Must include Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion.

Word limit: 3,000–5,000 words (excluding references, tables, and figures).

Up to 40 references.
2. Systematic Reviews & Meta-Analyses
-
Comprehensive reviews of literature with clearly defined methodology (PRISMA guidelines recommended).
-
Must include a structured abstract, eligibility criteria, databases searched, risk of bias assessment, and summary of findings.

Word limit: 4,000–6,000 words.

Up to 60 references.
3. Narrative Reviews / Mini-Reviews
-
Critical overviews of a topic relevant to homoeopathy, evidence-based medicine, or integrative health.

Should highlight current knowledge, gaps, and future research directions.

Word limit: 3,000–4,000 words.

Up to 50 references.
4. Case Reports / Case Series
-
Detailed descriptions of unique or rare cases with diagnostic challenges, management strategies, and outcomes.

Must include patient consent and follow CARE guidelines for case reports.

Word limit: 1,500–2,500 words.

Up to 20 references.
5. Short Communications / Brief Reports
-
Concise reports of preliminary research findings, pilot studies, or new clinical observations.

Word limit: 1,500–2,000 words.

Up to 15 references.
6. Editorials
-
Invited articles written by the Editor-in-Chief, associate editors, or experts on topical issues in homoeopathy, healthcare policy, or research methodology.

Word limit: 1,000–1,500 words.

No more than 10 references.
7. Commentaries / Perspectives
-
Scholarly discussion pieces addressing recent publications, emerging concepts, or controversies in the field.

Word limit: 1,000–2,000 words.

Up to 15 references.
8. Letters to the Editor
-
Concise and constructive comments on articles published in JAHS, or short discussions on topics of current relevance.

Word limit: 500–800 words.

Up to 10 references.
9. Clinical Practice Guidelines / Consensus Statements

Evidence-based recommendations or expert consensus relevant to homoeopathic practice.

Word limit: 3,000–6,000 words.

References: as appropriate.
10. Educational Articles

Articles designed to enhance teaching, training, or professional development in homoeopathy (e.g., methodology, pedagogy, case taking).

Word limit: 2,000–3,000 words.

Up to 25 references.
11. Special Articles
-
Policy papers, historical perspectives, or cross-disciplinary studies with implications for homoeopathy.

Word limit: up to 5,000 words.
Plagiarism Report Requirement:
All submissions must be accompanied by a plagiarism screening report (Similarity Check/Turnitin/iThenticate), showing less than 15–20% similarity (excluding references).
